Yeka is a gospel musician and recording artist based in the United States and known for her dynamic vocal range and that unique ability to bridge the age and   Cultural divide and point everyone who listens to Christ. Her music explores themes of the love of God, faith and hope.

Born in Eastern Nigeria, Yeka was  constantly surrounded by music- her parents were also musicians and recording artists who performed original and public works. This helped develop her musical background, singing in churches and crusades. 

Yeka did not get any formal musical training but rather spent time shaping her vocal dexterity by following the music paths of her parents. She was also influenced by artists like the late Onyeka Onwenu and Whitney Houston.

Known for a distinctive sound characterized by energetic praise and intense worship, Yeka’s love for God is immediately evident as her brand of worship pulls back the curtain to reveal her beautiful love relationship with Christ.

Her first appearance in the limelight was her participation in the inaugural season of the Nigerian Idol in 2011. She eventually emerged as the first winner of the competition.

Yeka took some personal time to work on herself and returned in 2022 with a Single, I will not fear. The song became an anthem, with 1.6 million views on YouTube and testimonies about deliverance from depression and suicidal ideations.

Yeka has been working tirelessly on her debut album, that encapsulated the love of Christ and sounds of gratitude to him for bringing her through a remarkable season. The album includes songs like Odim Ebube and Jehovah Rohi.

Yeka’s Anchor is to do the work of the Father while she can and hopes that her sound would a global impact.
